Ferm Bubbles (2025)
SoundPedro 2025 Interactive Installation
This interactive sound installation takes its inspiration from the process of fermentation: the fizz and pops of bubbles created from yeasts breaking down complex carbohydrates in various substrates and how light can alter and slow the process. Using an original MAX/msp patch to magnify and isolate the sounds of bubbles from substrates contained in glass jars in different stages of fermentation, the patch also pulls tones and sounds from fermentation into random bursts of noise that respond to changes in light.
